Edith Cavell Surgery have recently upgraded to a new clinical system. This means that if you had an account to book your appointments online, you will need to recreate one with the new system.
We have sent all existing online appointment registered patients a letter with their new ID & Pins so that you are able to re-register with the service. The new online appointment systems offers further services such as requesting prescriptions and the ability to request changes to your details online.

You can book to have a telephone consultation with a doctor or nurse rather than make an appointment.
Contact reception who will arrange for the doctor to call you back later in the day. Please make sure that you provide us with the correct number. Also, please make sure that you have your phone near you as doctors do tend to only call once.
Our doctors typically see four patients in the surgery in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the surgery if at all possible.
However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend the surgery. Please ring before 10am to arrange a visit by the doctor.
We expect our patients to be on time for all appointments that they book with us, and cancel in advance any appointment that they cannot attend. We will send a warning text to the patient if he/she misses two appointments without informing us. If a patient misses more than two appointments without informing us in advance, the practice has the right to remove that patient from the practice list. Additionally, if a patient arrives late for an appointment, he/she may be asked to rebook for another time.

On average, please allow 7 working days for your test results to come back from the hospital. Please note that X-ray & Scan results take a little longer. For your test results please telephone the surgery on 0203 049 5900 between 12.00 - 1.00pm. If you are bringing in a specimen please make sure that it is here before 2.00pm. Sometimes, we cannot always give full results over the phone. If the result is complicated, or if the doctor wants to see you about the result, we will offer you an appointment. We will only give results to the person who has had the test. If you wish to speak to a doctor or nurse regarding results or are in need of medical/nursing advice please telephone the surgery and we will book you a telephone consultation.
